Saint-Gobain Office Administrator in BEND, Oregon

What’s the job?

The Office Administrator performs administrative functions in support of the Plant Manager and they coordinate various administrative and finance functions with the Payroll Department, Human Resources, and the Gypsum Corporate Office. They perform general office duties including answering and routing telephone calls, maintaining office inventory, and attending to plant visitors. The Office Administrator also provides direct backup to the MRP program and they will assist with the monitoring of raw materials, finished goods, and inventory accessories. They also organize and assist in the administration of site’s Quality and Process Improvement Program. Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading new hire orientation and onboarding

  • Providing support to the Plant Manager and plant resources (including schedules, appointments, presentations, communications and personnel interaction)

  • Compiling, auditing, and processing a variety of complex and confidential weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for departments as requested

  • Reviewing daily production reports with Plant Manager and assisting in the month-end closing process

  • Organizing and assisting in the administration of onsite Quality and Process Improvement efforts related to standardized work and training programs

  • Assisting accounts payable with any payment issues

  • Picking-up supplies for the plant

  • The Office Administrator’s assigned work schedule is Monday - Thursday 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (some flexibility available)

What do you bring?

Office Administrator applicants must meet the following qualifications to apply:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 2-4 years’ general office and related experience in a manufacturing facility.

  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.

  • Ability to perform job duties, display a can-do attitude, and interact with others effectively.

  • Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation using Microsoft Office software programs. (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SAP, and Outlook).
