The Quality Manager (Bristol Site) will work in concert with their teams towards 100% customer satisfaction by implementation of an effective quality methods and processes. These teams could include customer-focuses in the Aerospace or Automotive markets.

This position will have ownership for understanding and implementing all market (AS-9100 / IATF-16949) and customer quality requirements within their given team and may be called upon to support other teams within the site as well. The Quality Manager will also have direct supervision over the quality department at the site including quality engineers, technicians, and screeners. The Quality Manager will prioritize the department’s work to maximize efficiency and meeting customer expectations. The Quality Manager will also serve as part of the site leadership team.

Other responsibilities include:

• Understanding customer quality requirements and develop proper quality inspection processes to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

• Supervise site’s quality technicians and screeners. Develop their skills and ensure proper resource alignment based on production and customer requirements. Set daily priorities based on customer and internal deadlines

• Expertise in problem solving methodologies and continuous improvement techniques to Support WCM Quality and Process Control Pillar and participate in all projects related to quality.

• Lead efforts related to initial product approvals within the team including APQP, PPAP, FAIR, audits, etc.

• Train/coach shop floor employees on proper quality techniques and use of quality tools and equipment

• Expertise in Industrial 4.0 areas such a vision systems, automated inspection, and data analysis

• Must have initiative, strong organizational and decision-making skills, and a high degree of customer orientation.

• Be an effective proponent of the Environmental, Health and Safety program for the site. Responsible and accountable for all EHS policies and implementation in the Quality Area.

• Working knowledge of AS-9100 IATF-16949, APQP, PPAP

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science or equivalent is required. Concentration in Engineering or Operations Management is preferred.

• Masters Degree Preferred - Technical Degree in an engineering discipline or quality preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in a quality function.

• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role.

• 5+ years of experience in a Aerospace or Automotive-related Manufacturing Environment.

• Working knowledge of AS-9100 IATF-16949, APQP, PPAP preferred.

Additional Description

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $97,900 to $151,800 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus.

The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $110,627 to $170,630.

Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
