Saint-Gobain Senior Brand Manager in Malvern, Pennsylvania

Position SummaryThe Senior Brand Manager reports to the Director of Brand Marketing and is responsible for managing the overall business unit “client” relationship with Corporate Marketing, partnering with leadership on strategic planning for marketing initiatives, and using their deep business and marketing knowledge to deliver against business objectives.


  • Participates in strategic planning meetings; acts as the “Voice of the Customer” to advise of strategies, new initiatives, business priorities and plans requiring support and alignment of Corporate Marketing resources and teams. Supports department budget tracking and planning.

  • Maintains and grows strong consultative relationships by partnering with teams to understand their key marketing objectives for all programs, market position, industry changes, etc.

  • Conducts briefings for internal team, outlining specifics of project, including business objectives, client strategy, requirements, budget, KPIs and desired timing.

  • Working with Marketing Operations team, specifically project managers, to translate and align BU and SE project requirements to enable project planning and development of project SOWs.

  • Articulates product attributes, project priorities, messaging, and position to internal team and ensures they are appropriately integrated into marketing recommendations and creative.

  • Manages execution of marketing projects/plans/strategies in alignment with identified objectives, including delivering status updates, performance reports and presentations to audiences ranging from executives to internal end users.

  • Collaborates with and supports product management, marketing leadership and other relevant roles to align brands and other BU product brand strategies.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of competitors, customer insights, product and promotional priorities across each BU and/or business line supported.

  • Actively partners with other members of the Corporate Marketing leadership team to identify opportunities to create synergy and efficiency across workflows and business priorities.

  • Manage issues and risk by clearly communicating across internal and executive leadership teams, escalating as needed and deploying risk mitigation strategies as appropriate.

  • Brings people and teams together to enable more effective and efficient working teams. Effective communication and team work with project teams and collaboration across departments.

  • Maintains customer focus and demonstrate leadership to drive consensus and project-related decisions.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or similar; MBA a plus. Agency account management experience a plus.

  • 8-10 years of brand management and/or account management experience, preferably in an agency setting or within a highly matrixed organization. Experience in construction building materials or other manufacturing industry a plus.

  • Experience building brand awareness and effectively leveraging the marketing mix across a variety of traditional and digital channels and formats.

  • Results driven and detail oriented with a strong customer focus.

  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams through formal and informal channels.

  • Excellent business acumen and communication skills with experience engaging across all levels of business.

  • Able to effectively influence without authority; actively listens and engages across teams to build strong relationships and a high level of trust.

  • Ability Maintains composure in times of stress and is comfortable working with positions of authority. Comfort interacting with and supporting executive leadership teams.

  • Manage client expectations appropriately with the ability to manage through challenging situations with positive outcomes.
