Saint-Gobain Mixing Operator 2nd shift in Massachusetts

Responsible for mixing various solvents and powders needed in the coating process.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and best manufacturing practices

  • Make mixes per formula and adjust to achieve correct quality control specifications, i.e. viscosity.

  • Calculate amounts of mix needed for full machine run using process folders.

  • Complete batch sheets for recording amounts made for each job

  • Record inventory and report weights and amounts of compounds returned.

  • Receive solvent deliveries.

  • Label all hazardous waste drums, schedule periodic pickups.

  • Overtime may be required

  • Housekeeping duties in specific work area and general plant

  • A minimum of high school degree or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 1 year related work experience required.

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, job folders, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations and small groups.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to include conversions, weight measurements, volume, and distance.
