Saint-Gobain Supply Chain Manager in Merrimack, New Hampshire

Saint-Gobain is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager for our Aero, Films and Fabric business in Merrimack, NH. The Supply Chain Manager is primarily responsible for planning, controlling, and directing activities of the Materials Department, Production Control, and Shipping, Receiving and purchasing. This position is also directly responsible for Forecasting/Inventory Control. Incumbent will act as change agent and lead the sales and operation planning 12 month implementation for the site.

Essential Functions:

•Establishes strategic direction, department objectives, and provides leadership to achieve results with the following functions: Production control, planning and scheduling, Forecasting and Inventory control, Shipping/Receiving, Traffic/Transportation, Warehousing, Capacity utilization and planning, Purchasing

•Oversee planning of raw material purchases/requirements and oversees negotiation of price reductions through global purchasing, Improve/Develop management systems for monitoring vendor performance. Guaranty the Purchasing activity is compliant with the Saint-Gobain Best Practices and ICRF. Develop and maintain complicance with the Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics (PPL) and North American (NA) Purchasing policies. Assess the supplier market regularly, develop agreements with all significant spend or sole source suppliers to secure the supply. Use the Digital Purchasing tools to launch bids for raw material, Capex and local services. Purchasing to use systematically all digital tools (PPM, Agora, Prosource, ProcureNet), Corporate Responsibility program (Supplier Charter, Eco Vadis) and Purchasing Trainings. Implement and comply with Saint-Gobain Delgation suppliers. Monitor all alternate dual sourcing activities to either reduce cost or secure supply. Work in coordination with the PPL Category Managers for the global categories. Develop annual roadmap covering all points mentioned in this section to develop and maintain the professionalism of the purchasing team.

•Implementation of the sales and operation planning process including determining and executing shipping priorities

•Manage raw material, WIP and finished goods inventories within turn objectives and dollar levels, and coordinates physical inventory and cycle count program to achieve site and SBU goals

•Determine and execute shipping priorities

•Provides strong interface with all departments to ensure policies and systems being used are efficient, effective and in concert with business goals and philosophies

•Business wide and site to site coordination of logistics of materials as it relates to the Coated Fabrics business with a priority on QX Caster, capacity and SAMX strategy to implement market driven lead times

•Responsible to achieve continuous improvement of manufacturing operations through Kaizen activities, value stream mapping, 5S and, facilitate other sponsored activities

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Engineering/Operations, Required

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain/Engineering/Operations or related, Preferred

• APICS Certification, Required

• 7-10 year’s experience in industrial sourcing and purchasing experience

• 3-5 year’s experience in People and team management

•3-5 year’s experience in Vendor and contract negotiations

•Working knowledge of TQM techniques in manufacturing environments

•Demonstrated successful implementation of MRP system

•Leadership, able to work independently and as part of a team across sites and departments

•Excellent organizational and communication skills, oral and written

•Skilled negotiator, innovative, dynamic, out of the box thinking
