What’s the job?
Lead operations department utilizing company principles of conduct and action.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of all operations team members promoting an injury free workplace.
Supports all plant sustainability efforts utilizing operations resources as required.
Leads operations team adhering to all quality requirements and key member of ISO-9001 leadership team.
Collaborates with corporate planning and scheduling to ensure most efficient schedules planned to meet customer expectations and delivery.
Manage, direct, plan and coordinate (through Manufacturing Superintendents and Supervisors) all production and maintenance activities in order to meet plant objectives, monthly forecast and annual expectations.
Strategic planning of all capital expenditures and maintains plant long range capital plan.
Responsible to deliver department cost savings expectations annually through projects and initiatives.
Directs all efforts to eliminate waste and improve operations utilizing WCM process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement methodology.
Required Qualifications
What do you bring?
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred.
10 to 15 years of manufacturing experience in a union environment preferred.
Proven working knowledge of manufacturing processes as well as quality standards using modern manufacturing technologies and techniques.
Proven quality and process control knowledge and experience to include Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Strong written and oral communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
