Saint-Gobain Commercial Solutions Project Manager in Norcross, Georgia

Position Summary:Reporting to the Director of Commercial Markets & Strategic Accounts, the Commercial Solutions Project Manager is responsible for building, growing and supporting project management capabilities in the non-residential construction markets. This role evaluates and pursues opportunities across all Saint-Gobain businesses. You will both manage key projects and ensure the success of others across the organization. Our internal customers rely on timely and efficient status reports, and as Project Manager, you will drive the charge with project direction, metric definition, and performance management. This role provides a single point of accountability for all aspects of assigned projects. The Project Manager will work closely with Business Development to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule, as well as other departments for support. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams; orchestrate meetings with Clients, General Contractors, and Architects while demonstrating an understanding of customer needs.

This position may be located in either Malvern, PA or Norcross, GA.

Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with management, project sponsors, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders. Drive or assist teams within maintaining focus on project success throughout the delivery cycle.

  • Effectively communicate expectations and project requirements to project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, continuously manage objectives, and hold project team members accountable for delivery.

  • Lead the project execution and delivery and help project teams maintain an overall project vision with supporting project plans.

  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path items. Identify and communicate project risks to all relevant stakeholders, and develop solutions. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential roadblocks, and devise contingency plans.

  • Support formulation and implementation of enterprise project standards. Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Develop and advocate best practices and tools for project execution and management.

  • Manage relationships with project stakeholders. Develop and deliver progress reports to management and other stakeholder including issue/action item logs, project status, and risks. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

  • Conduct post-project reviews and make recommendations for continuous excellence in project execution and delivery.

  • Ensure all project documents are submitted and approved while properly and thoroughly documenting.

  • Develop accurate and detailed project plans for a variety of projects.

  • Conduct project closeout meetings designed to capture the lessons learned of the project.

  • Travel may be required, less than 10%.

  • Develop reporting mechanisms to summarize and quantify sales pipeline.

  • Define CRM needs and collaborate with IT, sales and marketing to develop and implement.

  • Ensure on time and complete delivery of Saint-Gobain services, documentation, and products for commercial projects via close collaboration with Saint-Gobain BUs.

  • 3-5 years’ project management experience in commercial construction or equivalent required.

  • Experience with CRMs or database tools required.

  • Knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) required.

  • Building construction industry knowledge required.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

  • Ability to read construction drawings preferred.

  • Undergraduate degree in business or technical field preferred.

  • Keen understanding of commercial construction and project delivery methods, specifically how Saint-Gobain can create unique value for the owner, architect, distributor and contractor.

  • Experience across sales, marketing, customer service, supply chain and technical support.

  • Ability to manage by influence and work in uncharted territory.

  • Experience and desire to work within a start-up environment, contributing to developing business infrastructure.

  • Hands-on. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something. You have the skill to work in cross-functional, fast-paced environments with the pressure of multiple deadlines, multiple stakeholders and complexities.

  • Charismatic personality that allows you to operate at every level in and out of the business with multiple stakeholders.

  • Highly organized and comfortable with providing transparency into work.
