Plant Reliability Engineering Manager

Position Description

Job Summary

The Reliability Manager’s top priority of accountability is for the health and safety of their direct and indirect reports; support for a safe working environment in the area of responsibility and to correct or report unsafe acts or conditions through appropriate channels of resolution. The incumbent designs and implements solutions; manages projects that support the plant in attaining safety, quality, service, and cost goals. Responsible for leading a team of highly skilled technical team to achieve world-class performance by use of personnel, material, methods, and technical resources to optimize equipment and operational performance. This candidate will possess the skills to develop and implement predictive and preventative means of machine and process maintenance. The incumbent will lead or participate in project teams focused on continuous improvement in a number of areas including: Meantime Between Failure, PM Compliance, Trigger Events, Production Attainment, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), TPM and other predictive means through technology based platforms. The successful candidate will: Create and implement a reliability strategy within the Maintenance Department; Develop multiyear plans to improve mechanical reliability to world class levels (95%); Is the plant subject matter expert regarding predictive maintenance methodologies; Partners with other Reliability team members in order to develop plant preventative maintenance strategy that multiple departments can help perform in order to accomplish the work that needs completed; Work with Plant Maintenance Department and Engineering Group to develop predictive maintenance strategies to improve uptime with plant equipment, and build redundancy into critical areas; Is responsible for leading the Reliability Pillar using WCM methodologies to develop action plans and projects to achieve plant KPIs; Understands cost and downtime trends and identifies projects to take corrective action; Coaches and leads the maintenance team 5S program.

The Reliability Engineering Manager has oversight to the Maintenance Team in developing self-planning and execution process of daily, weekly, and monthly PMs and Work Orders ensuring prioritization and compliance.

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (Required)

Licenses and Certifications:

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt; SPC; Kaizen; Root Cause Analysis (Preferred)

• OSHA Certification 30 Hour (Preferred)

Work Experience

• 5+ Years Of Managerial Experience (Preferred)

• Engineering Background (Preferred)

Practical/ Technical/ Digital Knowledge

• Advanced Computer Skills (Required)

• MS Office (Excel, Microsoft Teams Focused) (Required)

• Electronic Communication Proficiency (Required)

• Processing, Engineering, Project Management Skills (WCM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, SPC) (Preferred)

Leadership & Communication Skills
